Crafting Memories

In 2009, I first encountered the art of pet wool felting and was deeply drawn to it by its soft and warm texture. Recognizing the importance of pets in our lives, I decided to turn this passion into a creative endeavor and began studying and exploring wool felting for three years.

Over the next three years, I dedicated myself entirely to learning and mastering the art of wool felting. I continuously honed my skills, experimented with different techniques, and strived to make each piece more vivid and lifelike. As time went on, my work gained recognition, attracting the attention and admiration of more and more people.

I discovered that my creations not only captured the beauty of pets but also provided solace and cherished memories for those who had lost beloved companions. Thus, I started making dynamic pet portraits for many bereaved pet owners, using wool felting to create everlasting mementos. Their heartfelt reactions, filled with tears of gratitude and emotion, became my greatest motivation and fulfillment.

However, as demand grew, I found myself overwhelmed. Crafting a single wool felting piece required at least a month or more of time and effort, prompting the need for additional hands and team members to share in these meaningful exchanges and creations. Therefore, in 2018, I established a team called “gougouart”. We are dedicated to using the art of wool felting to bring warmth and solace to more people, ensuring that every bereaved pet owner can forever cherish and honor their beloved animal companions. This team represents not only our dreams but also our pursuit and longing for a better life.
